"I'm on a sign that get, you get to Pike County and that's where I was born," he says. "You'd follow culture as a two lane road, two lane highway." He recalls the early days of modern country music in 1927 when Jimmy Rogers recorded with Ralph Pierre at Bristol Recording Company. 'And they had a tougher road to hoe than me,' singer-songwriter adds.
