Octavian, Antony and Lepidus Ruled the Roman Empire

Octavian, antony and lepidus now ruled the roman empire as a three headed dictator. Unlike the previous triumvirate, this new incarnation was legally ratified by the assemblies for a term of five years. They posted the prescription list and let their bloody reign begin. Heads property was seized. Men of high standing were reduced to hiding in attics and basements. And when that wasn't enough, they instituted a tax on the people of italy - who had from time immemorial been exempt from taxation.
