LEMI had been on a multi-day bender in LA and hadn't slept for days when they recorded You Better Swim. It was the worst day of recording in my entire life, but all I can say is we got it in the can. Limmy has to wait because he's so like a bluesman like all over inside. He's just on it. His whole thing is to pride himself and be able to deliver. Like here's a song we've rewritten it We've rearranged it But we know how to do this. And then we go to do the vocal and the mic puts him up there and the mic starts distorting and falling apart. Oh my God
