The Importance of Pragmatism in the Development of Talent
There's a selection effect in terms of who likes reading and writing difficult things, basically. People who are drawn to philosophy tend to be kind of like system builders. And then I suppose there's the opposite selection effect, which is that probably the people who are the most pragmatically gifted often are not inclined to write things down.
