First principle thinking is the idea that everything you do is underpinned by foundational belief or first principles. A t principal thinker will constantly ask, what's best for the company and couldn't we do it this other way instead? These are the kinds of inquisitive minds that read hastings wanted to unleash on net flicks for virtually every decision. We were unable to adapt to it because we had a bunch of people who valued following the process rather than the first principal.
