De Cartes's Methodology of Doubt
De cartes's entire project is an exercise in this type of dualistic thinking. He takes it for granted that the experience of having a thought is beyond question, so to speak. Whereis the experience of the senses is questionable? So that's a prejudgment. And whereas as he says the body is distinct from the mind, and decartes even believes that he must therefore exist without a body or without depending on his existing.
