Is CVP a Good Target for Resuscitation?
Central venous line pressures weren't particularly helpful in the determination of giving a ball of sifluid, but are they useful for monitoring resuscitation as it progresses? I don't know if the pressure per se would be that good at monitoring. One of the measurements that you can get off the central venous pressure is a mixed venous oxygen. That's just a better measurement of what the balance is between the oxygen delivery and the oxygen consumption is in the patient.
