There's definitely an element here of East versus West, but there's another element here of like, well, we've created something. This is now what our economy is based on. And we're going to figure out ways of making it such that we get rewarded for what we now do. But if that's exactly the way so many people in the West treat China, treat lots of developing countries and you see it not just intellectual property,. You see it with like workers' rights, you see it with pollution. Like last time I checked, the US wasn't very concerned about pollution while they were, you know, developing. Ben and James discuss Xiaomi’s ambition to own the home, why we’re frustrated with patents, why the West is unfair to the developing world, and what makes China unique.
