The 300 SLR Race Continues
Stirling Moss and Joe Bertraska were sharing the 300 SLR. The two best drivers in the world at this point had built up a lead. Hawthorne goes past Lance Macklin's Austin Healy, then pulls across the front to hit the brakes to go into the pits. Macklin is caught unaware, is dives to the left of it running into the Jaguar. And at that moment, Leveis coming past in 300 SLR and the Healy acts as a ramp flings the Mercedes,. Well, basically 80 people killed and Leve and, you know, the worst accident, multiple history.
