Theodore Brissino tried to separate himself from his colleagues in the beating case. He testified that he yelled at Powell to get the hell off King and that he called on Coon to intervene. Lawrence Powell's attorney Mike Stone asked the jury to sympathize not with the man being beaten, but with the officers doing the beating.
