The Importance of Performance

I've had countless terrible performances over the years. I think it's very important to memorize text. It brings me closer to the audience that we don't have this barrier between us which is my lyric book. The idea of turning up to a gig without your lyrics memorized was just absurd. All of that lives in my tissue and my body memory it's all there so when you go out on a stage where you have been booked like you don't take a second of it for granted.
