The Effects of Long Dead Predators on Cognitive Function

It's a really common thing across the animal kingdom. We see it across a whole range of different animals that's seen in mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. So basically you're hoping, as a prey, that your predator is stupid enough not to have noticed that you were prancing about earlier and now you're magically dead. And so long as it takes enough prey individuals down, then it will still be successful but certain prey individuals in there will have been able to escape its clutches. What animal does that? What predator goes for kind of multiple kills and then picks up all the rewards at the end?
