This is what Nupor has to say about Stevenson's approach. He sees two mutually exclusive options: write good novels at a regular rate or answer a lot of individual emails and attend conferences. And as a result, produce lower quality novels at a slower rate. In order to keep producing these novels, he has to commit to deep work.
