The Importance of a Mechanistic Worldview for Psychedelics
There was a moment in your new book where you were talking about how there's another way of approaching this, which is that trying to understand it shouldn't be the point. I had trouble believing what was happening without linear logical explanation of how it might be happening. The Buddha did fine without any of that theory. And that his approach to consciousness has held up really well. But for some people, knowing that there is a process going on and understanding what that process is helps.
