Ron Gross: The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the word monopoly is how. At least here in the US, we're supposed to be illegal. But not all monopolies are illegal, as you said, how. It's because sometimes the government actually allows a company to operate as a monopoly and they're known appropriately as a legal monopoly. That's where companies are permitted to offer a specific product or service at a price regulated by the government.
