Not every athlete i have machines are going to drop the same amount. It's going to depend on ankle mobility. But what you're talking about motor learning and allowing them to sort of self organize and figure it out. And i end up getting athletes that come in that a rigid, that have either been coached to be rigid or just rigid in nature. This starts to allow them to relax and just find out what's optimal for them.
