The Effects of Minnesota's Win on Jules and Altria

If a jury is receptive and gives Minnesota to give Attorney General Allison a multi-billion dollar or even a billion dollar settlement, I think it will embolden other states. If Minnesota loses this case, then the value of the claims that other states and jurisdictions could make against Jule against Altria will be a little bit lower. But at the end of the day, these companies have set aside huge reserves to pay off claims here. And these companies just need to do what they can to get rid of these cases as efficiently as they can.
