Is the Secretary of the Interior in the House of Representatives?
In the movie, there's a retaliatory strike on american soil that presumably injures the president. And so under the presumption that the president is dead, they find the secretary of the interior in louisiana,. and make this guy, heis, this guy is now the president. You have to sort of take it on faith that the people that are being put in these offices are going to be capable of handling some sort of serious crisis.
