Mangala's Trial

Mangala died in 1979 after suffering a stroke while swimming in droughts. His body is buried under the name Wolfgang Gerhard, whose identification Mangala had been using since 1971. A tribunal decided there was sufficient evidence to try Mangala for war crimes and crimes against humanity. DNA testing confirms Mangala's identity beyond any doubt. The official story is that Mangala's skeleton is stored at the Sao Paulo Institute of Forensic Medicine where it is used as an educational aid during medical school courses. Roy Disney, of course, wanted to preserve them inside one of his parks so he could visit him whenever he wanted.
