The Uncanny Nature of Gene Expression Differences
Gene expression has something to do with what a gene is doing as opposed to what genes are present. We think of the shape of DNA in a couple different ways and really when you trace the life cycle of an organism in terms of the various shapes that a DNA molecule takes, it gets dizzying at a certain point. There comes a moment for me anyway keeping track of all of these like different sort of adaptive functional behaviors that DNA engages in in order to replicate itself.
