Studies on those veterans informed the definition of p t s d which was added to the d s m in 19 80. The casual use of trama started happening around two thousand and five. But soon researchers began looking at what effects long lasting or systemic abuse might have. And that's where we started to see terms like cultural trama and generational trama,. particularly as they described issues like genicide or enslavement.
Psychologists are worried that "trauma" is losing its meaning. A trauma survivor says they shouldn't be.
