The Lord of the Rings

The Lord of the Rings is dense with destiny. Even though the events in the plot are surprises they also form a pattern and we gradually see that pattern as we read through the story. Usually you see that only in the second reading. That's probably true of our lives too. Second reading of course is done in heaven.
