Getting Lost in Conversations
I have a lot more practice at getting lost in conversations than most people, and i use hearing aids. So i think maybe i'm just a little bit more comfortable making a fool of myself than most people are. Most recent unna, an italian woman looked really confusedly at my passport, as if to say, he's brittirh. He should be understanding this english and saying to him, and me being like, ow dunno. Probably reflecting on the fact that misunderstandings happen, even in people's own languages. I think for a lot of language learners, this could totally deral their conversation and mess with their competence. And taking a step back and just realizing that
