The New Ouija Plan Sheet
In 1886, an Associated Press news article mentioned spiritualists using what was referred to as a talking board. This article ran under the title the new plan sheet. If you've ever played with a Ouija board, you know that the plan sheet is a little tool for the board. The older version of the plan sheet was invented in France in the 1850s as a divination tool - it means little plank in French.
