What Is the Effect Size of Malaria Treatment?
When I said effect size I meant to refer to things like how big is the mean effect on people's life expectancy? That's not the effect size. And the effect size is what you just talked about divided by some sort of standard deviation. Well I don't know what the people you're complaining about are doing but I imagine if you're testing a specific intervention like giving out anti-malarial bed nets the cases in different countries or different regions aren't going to be identical. The point I'm trying to make is if you send a bunch of people who do experiments you know students from MIT or wherever who do experiments in these countries then they say they got the same effect sizes.
