The Difference Between Median and Average Salary
The mode is just the most common number to occur in a data set. Median kind of seems a bit useless, but maybe it is a reason for it. Most surveys and most reports will use the median because it's seen to be the average. That's why when we talk about things like salary, I don't particularly like the mean. The median trade size for female identifying investors is $4,000 and $5. And the median portfolio size is $95,990.
