The Importance of Memory in Chess

Memorizing opening moves is a bit like building up muscle and martial arts yeah it's not something that that you do mindlessly, but it's just to support the skill that you already have in order to throw someone easier. And if you meet an opponent who also knows the moves, then you will get into positions that you yourself know much at the end of a variation. The more often you play a game of chess in the middle game, the more facets you are seeing and the better you are getting. That's my point, I mean understanding, no enemies, friends, but you need to unite them the right way.
