Jaya: China is interested in the Middle East, not strategic, but yet transactional. If you're looking at a transactional approach, the most important thing is that you have friends across the region to do transactions. I'm not sure if I can offer a satisfied answer judging by a very limited public resources on this subject. To mediate Palestinian-Israeli-Palestinian conflict, that would require much thorough understanding with Middle Eastern region in itself.
