The Interplay Between ARDS and Co-Morbidities

The patients who get ARDS may already have chronic illnesses that are very problematic such as bad underlying COPD or heart failure, skimmick heart disease and so forth. The thing we care about is having the patients survive and then survive with high quality of life. There's still a huge amount of work to be done on thinking about all of the rest of the problem.
