From the very beginning buprenorphine had to be white. The pharmaceutical manufacturers right at Ben Keys or pharma wouldn't have succeeded in getting it deregulated and legalized for office based treatment if it was seen as a treatment that would get into the hands of black and brown populations. Buprenorphine is about $9 a dose in the formulation that's most common suboxone.
