What Are the Limitations of Imagining the Future?
In the year 2023, electricity will have made the world so efficient and so prosperous that people will only need to work for hours a day. That prediction was written by a syndicated columnist who ran in newspapers nationwide named Joseph Van Ralt. He left us to infer that ice cream and pie would be served with each meal and everybody would have an iron dough on the front lawn.
