The Universal Principle of Reason, Individualism, and Political Freedom
What made possible the wealth and riches that we have surrounding us today, are the ideas of reason, individualism, and political freedom. Western civilization is not a particular geography, it's not a particular place in time, it starts in Western Europe,. It starts in 1450 or something around there. And to the extent that China wants to be successful, it better double up on the Western civilization elements. Because they're universal. You can't do it without them.
