"I dropped this belief that I've always had, which I consciously and you couldn't have been right," he says. "That experience knocked that one out of the water and the other so that the possibly a feeling became not just a belief, but a natural experience on my part" He adds: "The fact that I spent my first year, the way I did separate from my mother for a while, the fact that my grandparents were died in Auschwitz when I was five months of age."
