The Struggle to Find a Project
I love the way she takes, you know, weird ideas and does a painting about a circuit board or a plastic bag. I don't always find them that beautiful to look at particularly in reproduction form they're not that great They can look a bit flat and somehow a little bit clumsy. You know there's something really quite stunning about them and the simplicity of them. And I think this is what I keep struggling with is that I know I want more of an essence of simplicity, and yet still to be enjoying that crazy process and then pull it back. So all I can do I suppose is hold it as a really loose intention and just keep noticing what I get pulled back to.
