How I Got Started in the Smiths
I always liked unusual singers. Brian Ferry is still one of my favorite sort of singers for that reason. Still listen to Susie several times a week. So what happened then was people kind of started asking me to be in their bands around about 14. You know, over the years, since really it's a letter Smiths, but even in the Smiths days I was collaborating with like Billy Bragg and Kirsty McCollin and Talking Heads. And I usually explain because I got famous for being in a group first and you know a band member in Smiths days, which is great, fine. But then because I played with so many different people, I'd like to explain
