The Battle of Denshe
There was an attempted blockade of Jinman Island back in 1958, during the second Taiwan straight crisis. They wanted to stop nationalist troops on Jimin from being resupplied. The United States sent ships and airplanes to assist the ROC ships, and the blockade was lifted. I think it was probably the first serious nuclear crisis of the nuclear age, 13 years after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
