Acute Rehab
The key here for qualifying for acute rehab is that patients need to be capable of doing three or more hours of therapy a day. Unlike a sar, these patients have no skilled needs and get just given how much variability there is. The next time i have a patient who's admitted from an assisted living facility, i think i'm just going to ask, hey, what resources do you have available to you? And just think about, ok, is that place going to be propriate for this person at the time of discharge?
