Top Gun - The Story of Maverick and Goose

John simpson and myself worked on some ideas and some scrips, a never quite made it. The idea of maverick having to reconcile with goose's son set against this mission that would take them both deep into enemy territory was something i could see the wheels in his head start turning. You know, as i sow, you get exhilarating stuff, but you bring it right back to human emotion in those beautiful scenes. I think that's another great thing about the film, is the kind of, is the the breadth of of emotions you feel watching it.
