The History of Coffee in Brazil

Slavery wasn't abolished in Brazil until 1888 and just like in the US many of the streets in the city of sontas are named after prominent enslavers. Many of these enslaved people worked on coffee so there's a dark underbelly to the history of of coffee in Brazil.
