A man named Mike core fields came up with the term in 2015, or at least our current understanding of it. He is an information researcher and also part of library science and knowledge management. And he's specifically talking about the idea of changing the way we approach publishing personal knowledge to the web. So if you think of Twitter, or the Facebook news feed, or the LinkedIn feed thing everyone's feeds are a reverse chronological list. It just isn't taking into account any of those aspects of the information. The old model was very big from like web 2.0 social media platforms throughout the early 2000s but now they're much less so.
