The Disconnect Between Middle Class Income and the Rest of the World
The median household income in the US is 63,000. That's 6.5 times the median household income worldwide. Almost half of us are 1% worldwide. We've gone from a world in which more than 95% of the people lived in extreme poverty to a world in where more than half of the people are middle class. Our politicians routinely fan the flames of class envy.
