Quantum Computing - A New Approach to Computer Science?
Quantum computing promises expedientially greater computing power as you scale the number of devices and so on. For the first time, we have real machines that have been implemented, primarily in industry, that are of a scale that can't be simulated by classical machines. Even more to the point, the algritms that we want to run on these machines in the near term are heristics which we don't have analytically proven a performance ctions for.
