Hypertensive Encephalopathy
The PR and ER optional for making this diagnosis but I wouldn't think of this as a condition causing myoclonus per se although maybe that's what Yasmin is going to teach us. When we see the labs the patient was also in acute renal failure and that's contributing to that hypertension but not part of the press or maybe the patient is having seizures that were called myoclonu but are actually subtle seizures if they're bilateral and the patient's awake That's a bit of a stretch also so again this is an imaging diagnosis I've seen when patients have hypertensive encephalopathy and get an MRI and it's normal so people don't think oh no is that colon cancer
