The Value of Having a 10 Year Old Kid Do This Stuff?
An eight year old kid can't go up five pounds on his squat three days a week. It's not going to work. They can't recover from it. If you're stupid enough to make him try, that kid will never go in the weight room the rest of his life. You accumulate process incrementally. And then you as a coach, make sure to show the child the difference in the numbers over time. This is an extremely important lesson that goes way beyond the barbell.
