Is Legitimacy Possible?
Is legitimacy possible? I think there's a common sense view of legitimacy from social contract theory, that something like the government is legitimate if it reflects the will of the people. If you follow post modernism to its conclusion, you might come to a to view everyone with suspicion, especially those in power. Sadly, this is one of the reasons, and i find this,. you know, incredibly a depressing and, you know, just disillusioning, that the humanities in universities are mostly falling.
