The Future of Interstellar Travel

There's a good chance everything is very paranoid and tight on such ships. One explosive incident that blew out a piece of the ship might hurt them while telling their enemy where they were. For 1% light speed every light's century means thousands of years between stops, equal to all of a quarter human history. Smaller is better in that context, since it means less resources used and longer pauses between stops. You might get some heavy-handed controls on things like Korea, even caste systems.
