If you believe in jority rule, a system of government where the people get to decide what's true, what happens when the people are just wrong? Then socrates turned to a very sweaty william jennings bryan. He must have seen where all this was going, toward a seemingly unresolvable conflict between majority rule and the freedom of thought.
