Breathe Deeper and You'll Listen Deeper
A hydrated brain has a listening brain. Your listening battery is very much informed by where your body state is at. If somebody says something during a negotiation that you fiercely disagree with, rather than react, just breathe. That is a really powerful signal for you to understand how important something is for them. You'll notice people across the table do this in a negotiation. Or they'll take a deep breath in and it's a signal. It's a signal from that body that says, here's an extra piece of information,. Oscar, for you not to use against them but to help the speaker decode what they're processing.
