The Phantom of the Opera was originally an autobiography, wasn't it? Of Andrew Lloyd Webber. They just had to shift a few details, you know, making French. Pretty much everything else was pretty much playing on the money. It is by Gaston Le Rous and as a sort of turn of the last century, French novel. What's that guy called Derek? Derek and the Domino's. There's a guy called Derek Spermwell. He was a fan. And another guy who was one of the people who's massive in the musicals in the 80s.
