In the early 1970s, Noun Flat tried to take a video version of his weekly New York Times advertorials to three big networks. NBC accepted a couple of the ads but asked for major edits. It was a huge threat to this plan that he and mobile CEO, Raleigh Warner, had cooked up to try to mitigate the impact of the energy crisis on mobile's reputation and profits. Schmertz sold it as ahuge threat to all businesses and to the American way of life. Nowhere in the Constitution is every American promised a primetime TV slot. I'd never see something like this happen again.
